Film Description

Willow, the 1988 George Lucas & Ron Howard (best remembered as "Opie" from TV's "The Andy Griffith Show", as "Richie" on TV's "Happy Days", and as director of many successful movies) Lucasfilm sword-and-sorcery fantasy adventure thriller ("The Next Great Adventure."; "forget all you know, or think you know."; "From the Creator of Star Wars"; "From the Director of Cocoon") starring Val Kilmer (as Madmartigan), Joanne Whalley (as Sorsha), Warwick Davis (in the title role as Willow Ufgood), Billy Barty, and Jean Marsh (as Queen Bavmorda)

More About This Item

Note that this is a rare advance poster (note the "Coming in May to a theatre near you" at the bottom of the poster). Also note that this poster was never machine folded! An unfolded poster is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!

Note that next to the lot number in the title of this auction we put "FF". The "FF" is a note for our shipping department to let them know the poster is stored "Fully Folded". This allows us to more quickly find the item in our warehouse, therefore helping us to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Other items will have either a "UF" (UnFolded), "TF" (Tri-Folded), or "FF" (Fully Folded) next to the lot number, but please know that no matter which you buy (or if you buy any combination thereof), you only pay a single U.S. shipping charge (non-U.S. orders are charged the actual cost of shipping), as we can unfold tri-folded or fully folded posters and roll them in with unfolded posters, thus sending a single package.

Note: "emovieposter" is only on our digital image, NOT on the actual item. Also, we are changing our photography setup! Images with a solid black background are ones that were photographed on our new black metal background. We now hold the posters in place with magnets (so we do not attach the poster to the wall in any way), which are small and round and resemble "push pins", but we assure you they are NOT! If an image has a black background, know that the odd circles in the edges of the item are magnets that hold it in place, and are NOT a defect!
Overall Condition:
very good
Notable Defects: There are some minor creases around the edges.

Explanation Of What This Condition Grade Means:
This item has survived in pretty nice condition, but has some relatively minor imperfections. If they are within the image, they are not very distracting at all, or they may be in the blank borders, where they will not show when the item is displayed. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are relatively minor, and you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual item (if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized image, like faint water staining or tape on the back, we ALWAYS describe that in words).

More About This Poster Type: Special posters are a "catch-all" category for any poster that does NOT fit into any of our other categories, but are NOT posters that are made to be sold directly to the public (those we call "commercial posters", and clearly identify them as such). Some special posters are movie posters that are unusual sizes, and some of these movie posters were apparently mass-produced while others were apparently very limited editions. We also include any "non-movie posters" in this "special poster" category (we don't sell many of these, but most of the ones we do are either from museum exhibitions, circuses, magic shows, travel posters, war posters, etc.).
