More About This Item Note that next to the lot number in the title of this auction we put "FF". The "FF" is a note for our shipping department to let them know the poster is stored "Fully Folded". This allows us to more quickly find the item in our warehouse, therefore helping us to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Other items will have either a "UF" (UnFolded), "TF" (Tri-Folded), or "FF" (Fully Folded) next to the lot number, but please know that no matter which you buy (or if you buy any combination thereof), you only pay a single U.S. shipping charge (non-U.S. orders are charged the actual cost of shipping), as we can unfold tri-folded or fully folded posters and roll them in with unfolded posters, thus sending a single package.
Overall Condition: very good Notable Defects: The poster was folded across the middle and there are small pinholes in the borders. There is a foreign stamp in the top left background area, but otherwise, the poster is in nice condition!
Explanation Of What This Condition Grade Means: This item has survived in pretty nice condition, but has some relatively minor imperfections. If they are within the image, they are not very distracting at all, or they may be in the blank borders, where they will not show when the item is displayed. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are relatively minor, and you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual item (if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized image, like faint water staining or tape on the back, we ALWAYS describe that in words).
More About This Poster Type: Belgian posters are primarily found in two sizes. Those from before World War II measure 23" x 32", and are extremely rare. Most of those from after World War II measure roughly 14" x 22". During WWII, Belgian posters were sometimes printed in very small sizes (due to paper shortages), and they also were often printed on the backs of maps (for the same reason). There were also some other Belgian sizes, but they turn up infrequently. Most post-World War II Belgian posters have the title written twice on each poster, once in Flemish, and once in French (and often, the title of U.S. movies is written in parentheses after one of the other titles in much smaller writing). In many ways, Belgian posters resemble U.S. window cards, because the post WWII ones are roughly the same size, and because they usually have a blank top area where theaters would put play dates. They are different from window cards in that they usually have artwork images. There are many reproductions of Belgian posters that are knowingly or unknowingly sold as originals, but eMoviePoster carefully checks every Belgian poster we sell to make 100% certain it is original!
