More About This Item

This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections.

Note that next to the lot number in the title of this auction we put "FF". The "FF" is a note for our shipping department to let them know the poster is stored "Fully Folded". This allows us to more quickly find the item in our warehouse, therefore helping us to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Other items will have either a "UF" (UnFolded), "TF" (Tri-Folded), or "FF" (Fully Folded) next to the lot number, but please know that no matter which you buy (or if you buy any combination thereof), you only pay a single U.S. shipping charge (non-U.S. orders are charged the actual cost of shipping), as we can unfold tri-folded or fully folded posters and roll them in with unfolded posters, thus sending a single package.

super-size (10K)
Note: "emovieposter" is only on our digital image, NOT on the actual item. Also, we are changing our photography setup! Images with a solid black background are ones that were photographed on our new black metal background. We now hold the posters in place with magnets (so we do not attach the poster to the wall in any way), which are small and round and resemble "push pins", but we assure you they are NOT! If an image has a black background, know that the odd circles in the edges of the item are magnets that hold it in place, and are NOT a defect!
Overall Condition:
very good
Notable Defects: There is a censor stamp in the top right corner and some minor fold wear. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition!

Explanation Of What This Condition Grade Means:
This item has survived in pretty nice condition, but has some relatively minor imperfections. If they are within the image, they are not very distracting at all, or they may be in the blank borders, where they will not show when the item is displayed. We may have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are relatively minor, and you can likely see them by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual item (if they are the type that CAN'T be seen in our super-sized image, like faint water staining or tape on the back, we ALWAYS describe that in words).

More About This Poster Type: Three-sheets are posters that measure approximately 41" x 81". When the studios began making posters, they could only print sizes up to 27" x 41". So, in order to make the 41" x 81" poster they printed three sections of the smaller size that could be combined to form the larger poster (this is why they are called "three-sheets"). Beginning in the early 1930s through the 1980s, new technology allowed for three-sheets to be printed with 2 sheets (usually one larger section and one smaller section). Sometime in the 1970s some three-sheets were printed with a single three-sheet-sized piece. The number of sheets this poster is composed of is noted above. The separate pieces were designed to overlap, so that when they were glued together (or nowadays linenbacked together) they match up so that they appear to be a single printed image. The image we show of non-linenbacked three-sheets has the individual sections overlapping each other to give you the best sense of the overall poster.
