An Original Vintage Theater-Used Unfolded Double-Sided International Advance One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 40 3/4")

Film Description Little Shop of Horrors, the 1986 Frank Oz (co-creator of the "Sesame Street" and "Muppet" characters, and also the voice of Yoda from the "Star Wars" series of movies) horror musical comedy ("'Meet me at the funniest shop in town.'"; "I'm a mean green muther from outer space... and I'm baaad!"; "A singing plant. A daring hero. A sweet girl. A demented dentist. It's the most outrageous musical comedy in years.") starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin (billed as "With a special appearance by Steve Martin"), James Belushi, John Candy, Christopher Guest, and Bill Murray. Note that this movie is based on the musical Broadway play, which itself was a re-make of the classic low budget movie of the same name!
More About This Item Featuring J. Ibusuki Artwork Note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Also note that this is a double-sided poster. In the 1990s movie posters were sometimes made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front! Also note that this poster was never machine folded! An unfolded poster is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult! Finally, note that this is a rare advance one-sheet (note the "ADVANCE 1-SHEET" at the bottom of the poster).

More About This Poster Type: One-Sheets are the standard movie poster size, what you see outside of any movie theater. From 1896 until roughly 1990, almost all actual theater-used one-sheets measured 27" x 41" (since then, most one-sheets measure 27" x 40"). Up until 1980 (or thereabouts) the vast majority of one-sheets were folded twice horizontally and once vertically (this is in no way considered a defect). Sometime during the late '70s, studios began printing one-sheets rolled. Most one-sheets after the mid-1980s are printed unfolded, though it is still possible to find some newer posters folded. Many newer one-sheets are printed double-sided (with a mirror image on the back) for use in a light box in front of the theaters. However, sometimes the studios also print some posters single-sided, so a recent poster can be single-sided and still be studio issued. All of the one-sheets (unless otherwise noted) being sold by eMoviePoster are original vintage theater-used one-sheets (or printed intended for theater-use, but they never made it to theaters)!
