Note: Scroll down for the condition, description, and item defects. Film Description The Kentucky Fried Movie, the 1977 John Landis (director of both "Blues Brothers" movies) screwball comedy (with vulgar, often funny skits) starring Marilyn Joi, Saul Kahan, David Zucker, Marcy Goldman, Dulcie Jordan, Gracia Lee, Sheila Rogers, Forrest J. Ackerman (perhaps the world's foremost horror/sci-fi fan, and publisher of Famous Monsters magazine) and George Lazenby (the least remembered "James Bond" who only played James Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"; there are differences of opinion as to why he only played Bond in one movie, but most agree that it was NOT due to any failing in his acting ability, for he is regarded as one of the better "James Bonds"!)
More About This Item Note that this poster was never machine folded! An unfolded poster is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult! Note that next to the lot number in the title of this auction we put "UF". The "UF" is a note for our shipping department to let them know the poster is stored "UnFolded". This allows us to more quickly find the item in our warehouse, therefore helping us to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Other items will have either a "UF" (UnFolded), "TF" (Tri-Folded), or "FF" (Fully Folded) next to the lot number, but please know that no matter which you buy (or if you buy any combination thereof), you only pay a single U.S. shipping charge (non-U.S. orders are charged the actual cost of shipping), as we can unfold tri-folded or fully folded posters and roll them in with unfolded posters, thus sending a single package.
Overall Condition: fine Notable Defects: The poster has a few light "waves" in the poster from when it was stored rolled and the most minor of smudges and creases, but overall the poster is in quite nice condition, and it is unfolded too!
Explanation Of What This Condition Grade Means: This item is in really excellent condition! It has the most minor of imperfections, but has survived in really wonderful condition! Note that we do not use terms like "mint" or "near mint". "Fine" is our highest grade, and it compares favorably to most dealers' "near mint" or "mint". You should look at our "super-sized" image of the actual item, which will confirm just how nice this item is!
More About This Poster Type: One-Sheets are the standard movie poster size, what you see outside of any movie theater. From 1896 until roughly 1990, almost all actual theater-used one-sheets measured 27" x 41" (since then, most one-sheets measure 27" x 40"). Up until 1980 (or thereabouts) the vast majority of one-sheets were folded twice horizontally and once vertically (this is in no way considered a defect). Sometime during the late '70s, studios began printing one-sheets rolled. Most one-sheets after the mid-1980s are printed unfolded, though it is still possible to find some newer posters folded. Many newer one-sheets are printed double-sided (with a mirror image on the back) for use in a light box in front of the theaters. However, sometimes the studios also print some posters single-sided, so a recent poster can be single-sided and still be studio issued. All of the one-sheets (unless otherwise noted) being sold by eMoviePoster are original vintage theater-used one-sheets (or printed intended for theater-use, but they never made it to theaters)!
