The Patent Leather Kid, the 1927 Alfred Santell silent New York City World War I (WWI) military boxing sports romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the story by Rupert Hughes; the old story of a spoiled boxer who has no interest in serving his country in World War I; his girl becomes an entertainer in France, and he and his trainer are drafted, and the trainer is killed, and he has a change of heart and becomes a hero, but it causes his arm to be paralyzed; later, he is reunited with his girl who is now a nurse, and at the movie's climax, when he watches a parade with his girl, and a flag is raised, his paralyzed arm involuntarily rises in a salute!) starring Richard Barthelmess (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Patent Leather Kid), Molly O'Day, Lawford Davidson, Matthew Betz, and Arthur Stone

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the entire card had darkened. It had been folded across the middle and had some tears, smudges, and tiny paper loss around the edges, with some smudges and scuffs scattered through the image. Overall, the card was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The card was nicely backed, and displays well!
