Wonderful! How could it be anything else!"; "They're going steady... straight to your heart!"; "It's a Wonderful Love!"; "Frank Capra's wonderfilm..."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; "America's Favorite Feller..."; as George Bailey), Donna Reed ("Jimmy's Favorite Girl..."; as Mary Bailey), Lionel Barrymore (as Mr. Potter), Thomas Mitchell (as Uncle Billy), Henry Travers (best remembered for playing Clarence the angel in this movie!), Beulah Bondi (as James Stewart's mom), Ward Bond (as Bert), Frank Faylen (as Ernie), Gloria Grahame (in a memorable role as Violet, the "bad" girl), H.B. Condition: good to very good. The poster has separation and tiny paper loss at each crossfold. There are pinholes in the top blank border. There are many creases scattered throughout the poster. There are brown water stains scattered in the left half of the bottom border. There are faint brown drip water stains running down the left 9" of the back of the poster, and they have caused the front of the poster to be rippled in that area, and there are slight signs of faint brown stains on the front in that left 9". Other than the above, the poster is in nice condition! IMPORTANT! It seems like a paradox, but I can't give this poster a "very good" grade, because of the above defects. But they are all the sort that are easily correctable through simple linenbacking. Any talented restorer (but I would certainly give this poster to the very best, due to its value) can easily linenback it, and during the mounting process, the ripples and faint water staining will almost completely vanish, and then all that will be left is the slightest of touch up in the top and bottom borders and a tiny bit at the crossfolds. After that simple linenbacking, it will have RISEN in grade to our "very good" (and many other auctions would likely grade it as "fine to near mint"!). This really is a "wonderful" poster, and after that simple linenbacking described above, it will display fantastically, with only the slightest of paint restoration.
