(Learn More) Ramses Filmbilder, the 1930s German cigarette card album promoting Ramses Cigarettes and featuring 40 pages of 240 tipped-in cigarette premium cards of popular movie stars including: Maurice Chevalier, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Greta Garbo, Adolphe Menjou, Bebe Daniels, and many, many more! Included are four full-page images from then current movies, including Marlene Dietrich in "Shanghai Express", and there is a 2-page index to all the cards. There are glassine sheets inserted between each sheet of cards so that they don't rub against each other (this is how the album was created). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: good to very good. All of the cards are in the album (none are missing). The covers and many of the pages are lightly rippled with some faint brown stains. However, the cards themselves are in really nice condition (see our images). Condition: very good to fine. The album is in its original mailing carton, and the carton protected it well. The album is in really nice condition. Someone put a plastic sleeve over the covers of the album to protect it (this was likely done years later, and surely because it was in such nice condition, and they wanted it to stay that way!). That protective plastic sleeve altered how the cover appears in our image, because we photographed it through the plastic, but it would be the easiest thing to remove the protective sleeve.
