An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (40x60; measures 40" x 60" [102 x 152 cm]) (Learn More)

Big Thanksgiving Day Show 1956, the 1956 holiday poster featuring colorful art of Native American Indians and Pilgrims chopping down a sign so as to cook the turkey standing on it. Posters like these were ordered by many theaters prior to the major holidays, and displayed in their lobbies, but surely the vast majority of them were taken down and discarded as soon as the holiday was over, and they are extremely rare. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this 40x60 is a silkscreen printed poster. This is how almost all 30x40s and 40x60s were made at this time! Paper banners were also commonly made in this way at that time, and it makes for a striking poster. Note that silkscreen posters usually pick up scuff marks far more easily than other posters of this period (this was caused by the method of silkscreen printing, and is very common on these posters, and is not considered a major defect, unless it is very noticeable or distracting).

Condition: good. There are stains at upper left and there are some creases, scuff marks, and smudges throughout the poster. There are a few pieces of tape on the back around the edges of the poster, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose.
