An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Carry On Cowboy, the 1965 Gerald Thomas English cowboy western sexploitation comedy ("How the West was lost!") starring Sidney James, Kenneth Williams, Jim Dale, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Angela Douglas, and Edina Ronay. Note that this was one of a very popular series of 30 "Carry On..." sexploitation movies that were made in England between 1958 (the first one was "Carry On Sergeant") and 1978 (at that point, it became a TV series, and there was one final theatrical movie in 1992)! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had an irregular tear near the top center, running down the right side of James' face, through his nose, and then entering below his mouth and going into his cheek. There was paper loss in his cheek below his ear, with some stains to the right of his ear. The poster also had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
