An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 15" x 40" [38 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

Hot Heels (also released as "Painting the Town", which was the working title, but apparently only a few posters were produced with that title, although it was released outside the U.S. in that way), the 1928 William James Craft silent vaudeville stage acting horse racing sports gambling romantic crime slapstick comedy ("The picture of 1,000 laughs!"; "Story by Harry O. Hoyt"; a wacky story of the manager of a small town hotel who falls for a pretty dancer who is there with her stranded troupe of vaudevillians, and he sells his hotel so that he can bankroll them, but nothing goes right, but fortunately, they have a horse they use in their act that they enter into a race, which wins, and the man marries the dancer) starring Glenn Tryon, Patsy Ruth Miller, Eileen Sedgwick, James Bradbury Sr., and Ted Sloan. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Note that we have seen the information about this movie's title on IMDb and TCM, but because posters on it are incredibly scarce, it is difficult to verify the information! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was poorly printed, and there are dot stains on the figures of the stars, and some in the background near them (see our image). It otherwise had minor wear on the folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster did not attempt t restore the printing defect described above.
