Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at each crossfold and there were creases and a few tiny tears in the vertical foldline. There was separation and a few very tiny tears in the horizontal foldlines. There was a 4" tear in the right of the vertical foldline starting in the middle of Gort's helmet, running down through his visor and slightly into the lower part of his helmet. There were a few extremely minor defects in other parts of the image area. There were pinholes in the corners and a few in the borders. There were some creases and tears in the borders. Overall, other than the tear in Gort's helmet, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking. The other defects were truly minor, and easily corrected through linenbacking. The tear in his helmet was a very clean tear, and there has been very expert restoration in that area. It is in no way something you notice, and you have to spend time looking over the poster closely before you do notice it. The poster looks quite nice, and I would think almost any collector would be quite happy to display it on their wall!
