2m054 LOT OF 2 ROSCOE FATTY ARBUCKLE 5X7 FAN PHOTOS '10s great smiling portraits by Witzel!

a lot of 2 5x7 fan photos of Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle with facsimile signatures. Fatty Arbuckle was a wildly popular silent actor. His career was cut short by (false) accusations of manslaughter. It took three trials to acquit him, but by then his career was ruined. While Hollywood would "forgive" him, and he started making movies again in 1932, he would only make six new films between this time and June 1933 (less than nine months later), when he passed away from a heart attack, and he was just 46 years old. He also discovered a little known actor by the name of Buster Keaton. Some of his movie roles include: Fatty and Mabel Adrift, The Garage, Back Stage, Go West, and the Bell Boy. These photos were sent to fans who wrote to their favorite stars from the 1910s to the early 1930s (each has a facsimile autograph of the star and is printed on a quality paper stock). Studios stopped sending these great photos at some point in the very early 1930s, likely because of the Great Depression and their need to cut back on expenses!

Condition: very good to fine.
