An Original Vintage Tri-Folded Three-Sheet Stage Play Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

Bringing Up Father was an ultra popular King Features comic strip which was made into a series of traveling musical stage plays in the 1910s and 1920s (as well as films from the 1910s to the 1950s). Gus Hill produced several of these shows including "Bringing Up Father", "Bringing Up Father in Florida", "Bringing Up Father on Broadway", "Bringing Up Father in Ireland", "Bringing Up Father Abroad", and several more. If anyone knows more about these stage plays, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain, but we think this poster is likely for a stage play based on this very popular comic strip. We don't know exactly when the production was from, but we are thinking likely the early 1920s. The poster has great cartoon art at the top, but we think it is likely not George McManus art, but rather by some artist drawing in his style. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap. Also note this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only. We could re-fold each section and send it in a large flat package, but it would make far more sense to send the three sections rolled together in a tube, so we will send them that way.

Condition: good to very good. The three sections of the poster have some tears and small paper loss around the edges (and there are some tape repairs on the back). The sections are fragile, but the poster is mostly "all there", and after a simple linenbacking, it will look fantastic!
