Note that this was the movie for which John Wayne won a Best Actor Oscar (over both Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy), and many people are of the opinion that the award was a gift to Wayne (a sort of "lifetime achievement award"), but actually, he was really magnificent in the part (although personally, I think Dustin Hoffman DID deserve the Oscar!). Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by John Wayne (it is a vintage window card that was signed in 1974)! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
