An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More)

Monster From the Ocean Floor, the 1954 Wyott Ordung ocean octopus monster scuba diving underwater horror thriller ("Terror strikes! ...from beneath the sea!"; "Terror strikes from beneath the sea!"; "Up from the forbidden depths comes A Tidal Wave Of Terror!"; "See... Fierce battle with man-eating shark!"; "See... monster creature of atomic age!"; produced by Roger Corman) starring Anne Kimbell, Stuart Wade, Dick Pinner, Wyott Ordung, and Inez Palange. Note that the octopus-like monster in this movie (like virtually all 1950s monsters) is strangely attracted to beautiful women in skimpy outfits. What do the monsters do with the girls after they catch them?

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. There is a small stain at the top of the girl's bathing suit and at the bottom of the girl's bathing suit. It seems likely that someone defaced the poster in both these areas (probably with a pen), and that someone else likely tried some amateur restoration. Likely, this can only be repaired by painting over the two affected areas, and would need to be done by a talented restorer. There were many pinholes, creases, smudges, tears, and a tiny area of paper loss in the right blank border, and someone put white paper tape on the back of this border. There are many pinholes in the corners. There is a lesser number of tears in the left blank border, but there is also white paper tape on the back of this border. There are some small tears in the center of the top border and someone put a piece of clear tape on the back of that. There was 3" of separation in the bottom of the middle foldline and someone put clear tape on the front of that. There are creases and fine surface paper loss on parts of the horizontal fold and there is a faint scuff line in the bottom of the creature's eye.

IN THIS SPECIAL HALLOWEEN AUCTION, we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like separation on folds, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
