An Original Vintage Linenbacked Red Cross Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 30" [50 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Make Our American Red Cross In Peace as in War, the 1919 charity recruiting poster ("'The Greatest Mother in the World'"; "Third Red Cross Roll Call") promoting a members roll call to be held from November 2nd to the 11th, and featuring art of a Red Cross worker holding a man on a stretcher. Obviously, this poster was created right after World War I (WWI) by The Red Cross, reminding people that there was still a great need for their organization, even though the war had ended If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss around the edges, and a 5" tear near the top center of the poster, with a 2" tear next to it, and tiny paper loss. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
