An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book (measures 8 1/4" x 11" [21 x 28 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More)

United Artists 21 in '78, the 1977 studio yearbook featuring movie information, including cast listings and a photo, for films in production at the time. Some of the films listed include: The Last Waltz, Apocalypse Now, Big Sleep, Black Stallion, Coming Home, Who'll Stop the Rain, The End, The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Hair, The Lord of the Rings, and "a Woody Allen film". Note that this is a very slim (8 page) book (more of a small brochure!), and that seems odd, given that United Artists had just had two phenomenally successful years in 1976 and 1977, and they had fantastic movies lined up for 1978! Apparently, studios viewed creating elaborate campaign books as "wasteful", but they threw away money in a million other ways, and it would have been so great to see full-page full-color ads for these excellent movies! But note that the book has cool die-cut pages, with each covering a progressively greater amount of the pages beneath.
