What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster appears darkened with age and it may be slightly faded as well. It had separation on the folds and some tiny bits of paper loss on the top and bottom folds, and around the edges. It had some tears that extended into the image, including one at top center that extended into the back of Scott's hair, and another extending through the left of Temple's hair and into her forehead. There are scuffs in the word "TEMPLE". It had much scuffing on the face of the lady at lower left. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed it onto linen many years ago and did no real restoration, and it was handled roughly over the years, and it is "lifting" from the linen at center, and it was also creased along the original folds. Certainly, this poster should be removed from this linen and properly paperbacked, but bear that in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
