An Original Vintage Folded Circus Poster (measures 28" x 42 1/4" [71 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) Sam B. Dill's 3 Ring Circus, the circa 1930s poster advertising Sam B. Dill's 3 Ring Circus coming to town ("Featuring Tom Mix & Tony"). Note that there is an extensive history of this circus available on the Internet, and by reading that, it is clear that the main attraction of this circus was Tom Mix and Tony, and that other than the stars, the circus consisted of mostly second rate acts. This poster is from one of the earliest performances of the circus (it started in January of 1934, but did not have performances until later). Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges that can be seen in our image. There are larger tears at upper and lower center and most of those are repaired with conservation tape from the back and there are some other pieces of tape on back of the upper edge that slightly bleed through to the front. The historical poster could be displayed as is or after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
