An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/4" x 39" [69 x 99 cm]) (Learn More)

Into Little America: Capitol of the Unknown (also released simply as "Little America"), the 1935 Frances March & Ewing Scott Antarctica penguin South Pole adventure documentary ("Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd's second great Antarctic expedition into 'Little America' Capitol of the Unknown"). Note that in 1930 Robert J. Flaherty & F.W. Murnau created a documentary called "With Byrd at the South Pole" and it was released by Paramount pictures. This movie was created 5 years later and was clearly a sequel to the first film, but this movie was directed by Frances March & Ewing Scott and documented Byrd's second trip to the South Pole in 1934 and it was also released by Paramount Pictures. Note that the posters for this movie have a very large "Little America" on them with a tiny "into" above it, so it is often incorrectly referred to as "Little America" (we have been guilty of this in the past!). If you have any other information for this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Rohman
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster was oddly folded at one time and there is a diagonal crease at lower center. The lower right corner is almost torn from the poster and there are some 2" and smaller tears and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Fortunately, the poster's defects are pretty minor and other than the creases, are mostly confined to border areas around the edges. Surely, the posters defects will be greatly minimized during the linenbacking process and the poster will display nicely with very little paint restoration needed within the artwork area!
