An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Dangerous, the 1935 Alfred Green alcoholic theater stage actress romantic love triangle melodrama ("The story of a girl that men regret!"; about an alcoholic washed up former star who meets a young architect, and he inspires her to pull herself together and she does so, but he becomes romantically involved with a beautiful younger woman, which causes her to self-destruct) starring Bette Davis (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Franchot Tone, Margaret Lindsay, Allison Skipworth, John Eldredge, and Dick Foran. Note that Bette Davis gave her usual wonderful performance in this movie (it seems likely her character was based on Jeanne Eagels), but few people consider it to be a classic. Bette Davis won the Academy Award for Best Actress for this movie, but it seems likely that this was just because she had been denied the award the previous year for perhaps her best performance ever, as Mildred in "Of Human Bondage"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are some smudges and scuffs in the bottom border, slightly affecting the title. There is a small indentation in the "A" of "DAVIS" and above the "o" of "Dangerous".
