An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) In Walked Mary, the 1920 George Archainbaud silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play 'Liza-Ann' by Oliver D. Bailey"; about a southern belle who falls on hard times and goes to visit an old northern friend, but he is engaged to another; after many complications, the North and South come together) starring June Caprice (in the title role as Mary Ann Hubbard), Thomas Carrigan, Stanley Walpole, Vivienne Osborne, and Frances Miller (billed as "Frances M. Grant"; as Mammy; a black African American actress who appeared in 20 movies between 1916 and 1930, but due to the stereotypes of the time, she mostly played maids named "Mammy"). Note that Miss Miller was first billed as "Frances Miller", and then married, and became "Frances Miller Grant", and then later became simply "Frances Grant". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine. A tiny bit of the black tape is missing. Otherwise, the slide is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
