Artist: Philippe Halsman
Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned three other examples of this poster, and two of those were in "good" condition as this one is (but this example is in slightly better condition than either of those), and we also auctioned a third one that was in "good to very good" condition. Those three posters sold for $3,900, $3,100, and $2,100, and we also sold a single example of a teaser 40x60 with a different image, which auctioned for $7,350!

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has an 18" tear at upper left that has been repaired with tape from the back. There is some faint dot staining mostly at upper right (where there is a 3-4" tear that has been repaired with tape from the back) and there is a large diagonal crease at upper left. There are a few smudges and light scuff marks scattered in various areas. It is otherwise "all there" and certainly the ultra-rare poster could be restored and backed and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration and carefully see our super-sized image before placing a bid.
