Also included is a herald that has one page. (Learn More) Operator 13 (released in other English-speaking countries as "Spy 13"), the 1934 Richard Boleslawski (billed as "Richard Boleslavsky") Civil War romantic spy espionage melodrama ("Her caresses meant capture... Her kisses meant death!"; "from the stories by Robert W. Chambers"; Davies is a spy for the North, who infiltrates the South to gain information, but then things get complicated when she falls for handsome southern officer Gary Cooper) starring Marion Davies, Gary Cooper, Jean Parker, Katharine Alexander, Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), The Mills Brothers (billed as "The Four Mills Brothers"), and Sidney Toler. Note that both Ted Healy and "The Four Mills Brothers" received prominent billing on the advertising for this movie. But the posters and lobby cards are SO rare that we don't know if they were pictured on many items! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that when studios would prepare pressbooks they would often include a sample of the herald. Most often, the herald is no longer still with the pressbook. Sometimes, the herald by itself will sell for almost as much as the rest of the entire pressbook! This pressbook contains the original herald that was included with it, and it is pictured next to the pressbook below. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: fair, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut and it is folded across the middle, and there was separation in the middle of the cover, and someone put tape over the separation in the right end of the cover, which affects the bottom of Cooper's face. All the interior newsprint pages are incredibly fragile, with tears and areas of paper loss around the edges. The color covers, which are printed on a better paper stock, are not nearly as fragile, but they also have some tears and paper loss around the edges. The full-color tipped-in herald is present and in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
