An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Autographed Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, the 1974 Michael Cimino bank robbery action crime thriller ("He Has Exactly Seven Minutes to Get Rich Quick!"; "Meet Thunderbolt and Lightfoot... they have exactly seven minutes to get rich quick!"; "Thunderbolt... The man with the reputation. Lightfoot... The kid who's about to make one!") starring Clint Eastwood (in the title role "as Thunderbolt"), Jeff Bridges (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role "as Lightfoot"), George Kennedy ("as Leary"), Gary Busey (in an early role), and Jack Dodson. Note that Michael Cimino was an unknown who Clint Eastwood hired to co-write the screenplay for "Magnum Force" (with John Milius), and Eastwood was so impressed by Cimino that he then hired him to direct and write the screenplay for this, his next movie, which proved very successful at the box office, and led to Cimino being hired to direct "The Deer Hunter"! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fair.
