An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Cat-Women of the Moon, the 1953 Arthur Hilton science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("You've never seen anything like it"; "They're Fiery... Fearless... Ferocious!"; "See: The deadly cave of forbidden moon-gold!"; "See: The lost city of love-starved cat-women!"; "See: The blood thirsty battle of the moon monsters!"; a classic low-budget cheesy movie!) starring Sonny Tufts, Marie Windsor, Victor Jory, Susan Morrow, Douglas Fowley, Bill Phipps, Carol Brewster, and "featuring the Hollywood Cover Girls as the Cat-Women". Note that the film distributor "Astor Pictures" primarily distributed re-releases of major studios in the late 1940s and 1950s, but they DID produce a few of their own movies, including this one. This is the first release of this movie, and it NOT a re-release!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that someone hand wrote a 1954 NSS number in the bottom right corner (54/202). Normally, we would think this was the first release NSS number for this movie, but because the card has a very large snipe over the title (indicating the title was changed), we wonder if this movie wasn't re-released in 1954 with the new title (the IMDb lists "Rocket to the Moon" as an alternate title, and we wonder if that wasn't the 1954 re-release title). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: fair. There was a large snipe over the title that caused much staining in that area (see above). There are many pinholes around the edges, along with a few smudges and creases. There are two small tears in the middle of the right border that have a tiny piece of tape on the back.
