Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Bright Eyes, the 1934 David Butler musical juvenile orphan comedy starring Shirley Temple, James Dunn, Jane Darwell, Judith Allen, Lois Wilson, Jane Withers, and Terry (the dog who would go on to play Toto in the 1939 Wizard of Oz). Note that this was the movie where Shirley Temple sang "On the Good Ship Lollipop."

Condition: good to very good. the poster was paperbacked; prior to restoration the window card was tattered around the edges and had stains and smudges in the top blank area. Within the image area there was a tear that ran from the top border through the "IR" of "SHIRLEY" and a rough crease across the entire card going through the title area and through the face of the woman at lower right. There were also other creases and smudges around the edges of the image area. The card was backed by an expert restorer who carefully placed new paper over much of the original white borders, and this was so well done that I think most people would not realize it unless it was specifically shown to them. The defects in the image area were well restored and they are now not at all distracting but are slightly noticeable.
