The City Under the Sea (released in the U.S. as "War Gods of the Deep"), the 1965 Jacques Tourneur English science fiction (sci-fi) scuba diving underwater city fantasy thriller ("They dared the most fantastic journey that has ever challenged imagination!"; "From Edgar Allan Poe's 'City in the Sea'"; "A fantastic journey to a lost empire one thousand fathoms beneath the sea!") starring Vincent Price, Tab Hunter, Susan Hart, David Tomlinson ("as Harold Tiffin Jones"), and John Le Mesurier

Artist: Reynold Brown

Condition: very good to fine. There was darkening across the foldline that runs across the bottom of the word "imagination" in the top tagline, and tiny areas of paper loss in the right 1/3 of that foldline. Otherwise, the poster had only minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did not touch up the foldline described above. If I owned the poster, I would have a restorer touch up that foldline, without re-backing the poster. It would only take a small amount of money to do so, and afterwards, the poster would look fantastic, for there are no other real defects in the poster.
