An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Hurricane, the 1937 John Ford romantic South Seas tropical island natural disaster tragedy ("Lovers fleeing before the on-rushing vengeance of the law and the fury of the tropics"; "How long can a woman wait for her man?"; "Escape... 'midst South Sea magic"; "Another Samuel Goldwyn Smash Hit!"; "By the authors of 'Mutiny on the Bounty'."; "From the novel by Chas. Nordhoff and James N. Hall") starring Dorothy Lamour, Jon Hall, Mary Astor, C. Aubrey Smith, Thomas Mitchell (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Raymond Massey, John Carradine, and Jerome Cowan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There were several creases, scuffs, and smudges around the edges of the card, and a couple of small tears in the lower left border. Some restorer did amateur touch up to the borders. The back of the card had some small pieces of tape on it (they were used to hold it to a mat). Some of the small pieces of tape are still there, but most are gone, and there is very minor surface paper loss in those areas. Overall, I think the card displays quite well, for the defects are primarily in the blank borders, which will not show when the card is framed. Learn More about condition grades
