An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Standee (measures 14" x 17" [36 x 43 cm]) (Learn More) Dinah Shore was a popular actress and singer from the 1940s to the 1980s. Some of her movies include: Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick, Up in Arms, and Bongo. She had a long-running TV series "The Dinah Shore Show", and she had a much publicized romance with the much younger Burt Reynolds (younger by 20 years!), and she had previously been married to actor George Montgomery for 20 years (and they had two children). She passed away in 1994 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was originally a standee (given that Miss Shore was a popular singer, we would think that it was displayed in record stores in the 1940s, at the time she sold many records). If anyone knows more about this standee, please e-mail us and we will post it here. It is on a heavier board than typical window card-like posters of this period, and while the standee backing is missing, you can see remnants of the cardboard where it was on the back of the poster. It cannot be rolled and sent in a tube, so it will need to be sent in a large flat package. Condition: good. The original standee backing is missing, although a portion of it remains (see our image). There is water staining, creases, and scuffs around the edges, and some tiny bits of paper loss scattered in the right of the poster, with surface paper loss in the bottom right corner and some faint stains in Shore's face and body. In spite of its many defects, this item could certainly be displayed as it is, or one could have restoration performed. Learn More about condition grades
