An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

For the Love o' Lil, the 1930 James Tinling romantic comedy ("All talking comedy of modern married life") starring Jack Mulhall, Sally Starr, Elliott Nugent, Margaret Livingston, and Charles Sellon

Artist: Spicker
Important Added Info: Note that this is a VERY bizarre window card! It is printed by Columbia Pictures, so it is an original studio issued window card. But the poster is actually a poster for a different 1930 movie, "Personality"! Apparently, the Columbia publicity department was either too rushed, or too lazy, and they re-used the exact same poster from "Personality" for this movie, solely changing the title, and leaving the rest of the card exactly the same! What is even more bizarre is that they didn't bother to change the two credited stars, and while Sally Starr does appear in both movies, Johnny Arthur does not appear in "For the Love o' Lil", but rather Jack Mulhall does, and the director of "Personality" is also credited on this window card, when the actual director was James Tinling! I imagine that both movies are "All Talking Comedies of Married Life", but that still is no excuse for what they did. I have never seen this done with any other pair of movies. If anyone knows more about these movies or this bizarre situation, please e-mail us and we will post it here. This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: very good to fine. Other than some small stains in the upper left blank border, the card is in excellent condition!
