Afraid to Love, the 1927 Edward H. Griffith silent inheritance romantic love triangle screwball comedy ("Love -- Love -- Love"; "Why are some of us a little shy -- a little afraid of the greatest thing in life?"; "Based on 'The Marriage of Kitty' by Fred deGresac and F. deCroisset"; a clever story of an Englishman whose royal uncle left him his fortune, but on the condition that he gives up his girlfriend, who his uncle did not like, and marry within 24 hours; he finds an impoverished noblewoman to have a sham marriage with, but his girlfriend will only go along if the noblewoman is plain looking, so she has to disguise herself to look very plain, and then the "newlyweds" are followed around by a detective checking to see if their marriage is real, but everything works out in the end) starring Florence Vidor, Clive Brook, Norman Trevor, Jocelyn Lee, and Arthur Lubin. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
