An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

Laughing at Trouble, the 1936 Frank R. Strayer newspaper publisher crime murder melodrama (about an older female newspaper publisher who uses her position to help clear a friend who is falsely accused of murder) starring Jane Darwell, Sara Haden, Lois Wilson, Margaret Hamilton, Pert Kelton, John Carradine, and Brook Byron (billed as "Delma Byron"). Note that most people think of Jane Darwell as solely a character actress, but she had the starring role in this movie!

Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: fair to good. There is a scuff mark across the faces of the couple in the inset circle and one in Darwell's cheek. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass.
