Bradbury cowboy western starring John Wayne, Sheila Terry, Jack Rockwell, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Jay Wisley (billed as "Buffalo Bill Jr."), Yakima Canutt, and Gordon De Main NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster looks like it could be a stock poster, but this is the original one-sheet that Lone Star created for this John Wayne western in 1934, with a great image of Wayne doffing his hat on a rearing horse! After this movie was released in 1934, it was re-released at some point in the next couple of years by Lone Star, along with the other Lone Star John Wayne westerns. The posters for those re-releases had a different image of Wayne on a rearing horse, and they had "John Wayne in" above an area for the title, and posters were overprinted with the various titles (but Lindsley Parsons was incorrectly credited as the writer on all of them, when he did not write this movie). The movie was re-released yet again in the late 1930s (possibly 1939) by Monogram, after they bought the rights to the Lone Star titles, and that re-release one-sheet has an image of John Wayne holding his gun on three bad guys. But the poster offered here is the very rare first release one-sheet from this movie from 1934 (we have only auctioned it once before). Condition: good to very good. The poster has tiny separation at the crossfolds and pretty minor wear on the folds. It has smudges, pinholes, and some faint stains around the edges, with some smudges in the word "THE" in the title. At some point, someone glued a piece of an English pressbook page to the back of the lower left (on the back of the "LAWLE" of "LAWLESS" and slightly above and below it).
