An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) John Carpenter's The Thing, the 1982 John Carpenter horror science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("The Ultimate in Alien Terror."; "Man is the warmest place to hide."; set in Antarctica; "Based on the story 'Who Goes There?' by John W. Campbell Jr."; it is a re-make of the 1951 movie, "The Thing from Another World", based on the same story, and with James Arness as "The Thing") starring Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T.K. Carter, David Clennon, Keith David, Richard Dysart, Charles Hallahan, Peter Maloney, Richard Masur, Donald Moffat, Joel Polis, and Thomas G. Waites. This is one of Carpenter's best movies, and in many ways it is more enjoyable and superior to the original version! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Drew Struzan Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: very good. There are just a few small creases in a few areas and a few faint smudges around the edges due to handling. There is a small diagonal crease in throughout lower right blank border edge, but overall the poster is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
