An Original Vintage Jigsaw Puzzle (measures 8 3/4" x 12 1/2") (Learn More) Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the classic 1977 Steven Spielberg (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) science fiction (sci-fi) alien UFO melodrama ("Close Encounter of the First Kind: Sighting of a UFO"; "Close Encounter of the Second Kind: Physical Evidence"; "Close Encounter of the Third Kind: Contact"; "We are not alone."; "Every 15 minutes, someone sees a UFO"; "Written and Directed by Steven Spielberg") starring Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Melinda Dillon (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Francois Truffaut (the famous French director, in an acting role; "as Lacombe"), Bob Balaban, and Cary Guffey (as the little boy). Note that Paul Schrader wrote the original screenplay for this movie, but Steven Spielberg made many changes to Schrader's script. Finally, Schrader asked that his name be taken off the screenplay, and since it had to have someone's name on it, Spielberg put his own name on the screenplay! Important Added Info: Note that while this is a jigsaw puzzle, we are including it with our special group of around 61 board games we are auctioning in this set of auctions. It is a remarkable collection that covers all decades and genres. Most are movie or TV related in some way (often based on a specific movie or TV show, but sometimes on a character). All of the games were actually used and played with. We can't say if the games are complete, especially in regards to the small pieces. We have photographed the cover of the game, the inside of the cover (if relevant), the board, and the game pieces, and we include the length and width measurements of the box. Please look at our images to tell both the overall condition of the game, and to see if it appears to be complete. We have assigned each game an overall condition grade, but because we are FAR from experts in these board games, we don't have a basis for how to grade them, and we are just taking a good guess as to how to grade them. Also, please do not ask any questions about them, because we won't know the answers, beyond what can be seen in our images. We also have already packed the games so that they will be quickly ready to ship, so they can't be opened, and therefore we can't look at any of them to give further information beyond what is seen in our images. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase many of these games at one time! If you bought them one at a time, it would surely take years to assemble a collection like this, but all of these will have new owners when these auctions end, because all are being sold with no reserve, and all start at just $1! Note that this item needs to be shipped in a box, which might be a fairly small box, or might be a very large box. What is important for the bidders to know is that this item likely CAN'T be combined with other purchases, because there would not be much savings if any, because this item will be in a box, while other purchases will be in a flat package, and trying to combine them would likely damage this item anyway. If you purchase multiple items like this (ones that need to be packed in a box), then they likely can be combined with each other (unless the resulting box is simply too large). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent separately in a box (the size of the box will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: good to very good. As can be seen in our image the box is open and the pieces are loose, however, as noted above we have not counted the pieces and do not know if all are present.
