An Original Vintage Deluxe Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More)

Priscilla Lane was an actress from the 1930s to the 1940s. She was one of the Lane Sisters (three sisters who performed together with Gale Page in a series of movies where they played four sisters). She also had a solid solo career in the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Arsenic and Old Lace, The Roaring Twenties, and Saboteur. Note that most people would naturally assume that there were only three Lane sisters in real life, which was why they had to cast a non-sister in the role of the fourth movie sister. But actually, they DID have a fourth sister, Leota, but she had a screen test, and did so poorly that she was sent home (which surely must have made for strained holiday dinners!). Priscilla passed away in 1995 at the age of 79.
Important Added Info: Note that in the 1930s and 1940s, stores would order cards like these by the thousands and have their store information printed on the back, and then they would be passed out to theatergoers on the street. This particular publicity still is printed on a deluxe paper, whereas most of them were printed on a thin paper. Also note that this publicity still has a FACSIMILE autograph that is within the printing of the still (the still has NOT been personally autographed).

Condition: very good.
