An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 8 3/4" x 11 1/4" [22 x 29 cm]; contains 36 loose pages) (Learn More) Sci-Fi from Allied Artists, the 1962 campaign book with information about late 1950s and early 1960s science-fiction, horror, and monster movies that were available for television (TV) broadcast, including, of course, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman! Note that this is a really cool special promotional item created by Allied Artists in 1962 (we know that, because the movies advertised as "just released for TV" all date between 1956 and there is only one from 1962, and research showed us that Allied Artists Television Corp. was absorbed by United Artists in late 1962, so we know it must date exactly from 1962). It is a special hinged box with great art of a rocket ship on the cover, and two die-cut circles in the lower part of the cover under the words "SCI-FI FROM", and you can see the two A's of the Allied Artists logo through those holes. In the box are 36 loose pages, and each has a partial color ad for one of the movies, and on the back of each page is information about the movie, including the cast, the plot summary, and the running time, together with one newspaper review quote. We have not seen these advertising images elsewhere, and the box cover has really great art, too (see our images) Important Added Info: Note: We have 16 images of the campaign books in this set, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 16 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 6. Condition: very good. The box has some minor wear around the edges. The first interior page, which is mostly blank white paper, has smudges and stains scattered throughout. But the rest of the pages are in really nice condition (see our images).
