An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The American Film Institute (AFI) is a film organization that was founded in 1965 by Lyndon B. Johnson, and established in 1967. The organization educates filmmakers and honors the heritage of the moving picture arts, and established the AFI Conservatory for Advanced Film Studies in 1969. Famous alumni from this school include: Robert Richardson, David Lynch, Carl Franklin, and many more! Important Added Info: Note that this great photo shows the "founding trustees of the American Film Institute at their first board meeting in Washington, D.C., August 5, 1967". It was the property of film critic David Mallery, who is pictured (because he was one of the trustees). Included with the still is a print out of a page from a book that shows this still and has a list of all the people pictured, who include Gregory Peck, Sidney Poitier, Francis Ford Coppola, and many others! Also note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: very good. There are three pairs of staple holes in the left border and a diagonal crease in the bottom right corner.
