An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 3/4" x 33 1/4" [63 x 84 cm]) (Learn More)

Madame X, the 1966 David Lowell Rich romantic melodrama ("There was always a man... Never a name!"; "There was ALWAYS A MAN... There was Never a Name!"; produced by Ross Hunter; based on the play by Alexandre Bisson) starring Lana Turner (in the title role "as Madame X"), John Forsythe, Ricardo Montalban, Burgess Meredith, Constance Bennett, and Keir Dullea (billed as "The 'David and Lisa' star as Clay, Jr."). Note that this classic tearjerker is one of the most frequently remade movies ever! It was first in a feature film in 1916 (as "Madam X"), and was then remade in 1920, 1929, 1937, 1939, 1948, 1954, and 1966, and there was even a TV movie version in 1981!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, and some smudges in the pink background areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
