An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 36 3/4" [69 x 93 cm]) (Learn More)

Tarzan en la gruta del oro (released in the U.S. in 1970 as "King of the Jungle" and in other English-speaking countries as "Zan, King of the Jungle" or "Zan the King of the Jungle"), the 1969 Manuel Cano Spanish/Italian/Puerto Rican romantic action adventure jungle thriller ("the SURI-MAN from SURINAM"; with a screenplay by Umberto Lenzi) starring Steve Hawkes (in the title role as Zan [Tarzan in some subtitled versions]), Kitty Swan (as the Amazon Queen), Krista Nell (billed as "Doris Cristanel"), Ugo Sasso, Jesus Puente, and Carlos Badia. Note that this was an unauthorized Tarzan film (which was why the hero was named "Zan" in English-speaking countries!), but some say that Steve Hawkes was one of the best "Tarzans" ever! Note that there are some Italian posters that have the full Italian title, and others where the poster looks the same, but the "TAR" was removed from the printing plates, to avoid lawsuits!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good. This Mexican poster is in surprisingly good condition. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This particular poster has darkened slightly, but is not very fragile at all, which is unusual for Mexican posters!
