Artist: Roger Kastel
Important Added Info: Note that this insert is many times more rare than the first release one-sheet from the same movie. Surely this is because this was from the time when inserts were being completely phased out, and very few theaters ordered them. For every insert we have auctioned, we auctioned 25 or more one-sheets! The last time we auctioned an insert from this movie it sold for $2,100! Also note that this particular insert poster is one on which there are many examples of reproductions (and sadly, they are regularly sold on eBay, and no one at that company cares that their customers are being cheated through such sales). The reproductions can be distinguished from originals by their "super-white" paper, and the glossiness on the back of the poster. The poster offered here is 100% certainly an original (and of course, it comes with our lifetime guarantee)!

Condition: fair to good. The poster was never folded. Someone likely attached this poster to a wall by folding over small pieces of masking tape and attaching them all over the back of the poster. The tape is no longer present, but there are approximately 50 such small tape stain on the back of the poster and each measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1" at the most. Very few of these tape stains show through to the front. There is also water staining in the bottom left corner that extends into the credits, water stains in the top right that extend into the "S" of "JAWS" and creases and water stains in the middle right of the poster. There is a stain in the lower left of the image extending into the background that caused the surface of the paper to "pit". There are stains and creases across the top of the poster extending into the blue background. There are also some creases and faint stains scattered throughout. Obviously this poster has very significant defects, but surprisingly they do not massively detract from viewing the poster. It is also true that a talented restorer could do much for this poster, and it is likely much of the staining could be removed chemically. However, bear all of the above in mind and look closely at our super-sized images before bidding (and because this poster has significant defects on the back, we have also photographed the back of it, something we don't normally do.)
