a lot of 13 11x14 Victor Cornelius local theater window cards. Note that posters like these were printed on a thin paper were made by the Victor Cornelius company of Eastland, Texas, and sold to theaters in the 1940s (sometimes they were also printed on thicker paper, and the ones in this auction ARE the ones on thicker paper). They also sold a partly metal frame with a metal easel backing that held these posters. In the 1940s, the Victor Cornelius company made these 11" x 14" "window cards" that were on thin paper, and were one-color, and they mostly advertised B-western movies. This holder was designed to hold those thin paper window cards. The theater would simply take out the old one and put in a new one every time they changed the movies they were showing. We have only once auctioned one of these holders, in 2017, but we have been consigned several groups of these thin paper "window cards" (which often are advertising B-western movies, and usually include both 1930s and 1940s titles, but we think they were all being shown in the 1940s).
