An Original Vintage Board Game (measures 9" x 18" [23 x 46 cm]) (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (released in other English-speaking countries as "Abbott and Costello Meet the Ghosts"), the 1948 Charles T. Barton monster horror spoof comedy ("It's a grand New idea for Fun!"; the eighth Universal Frankenstein movie, and this time they added their #1 comedy team to both liven up the series, and to inject comedy; many people fondly remember this as their favorite of the 1940s Frankenstein movies!; "Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou!"; "The laughs are MONSTERous! Bud and Lou are in a stew when they tangle with the Titans of Terror!"; "The monsters of menace vs the masters of Mirth!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Lon Chaney Jr. ("The Wolf Man played by Lon Chaney"), Bela Lugosi (returning as Dracula after being long absent from the role; "Dracula played by Bela Lugosi"), Glenn Strange (in the title role, playing the Frankenstein monster; "The Monster played by Glenn Strange"), Lenore Aubert, Jane Randolph, Frank Ferguson, Charles Bradstreet, and Vincent Price (in a cute cameo, as the voice of The Invisible Man at the end of the movie!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this board game was created many decades after the movie came out, in 2005. Note that in May 2018, we auctioned a collection of 120 board games that sold for as much as $903, and only a handful went for under $10 each, and now we have been consigned another 58 that come from a variety of consignors, which covers all decades and genres. Most are movie or TV related in some way (often based on a specific movie or TV show, but sometimes on a character). All of the games were actually used and played with. We can't say if the games are complete, especially in regards to the small pieces. We have photographed the cover of the game, the inside of the cover (if relevant), the board, and the game pieces, and we include the length and width measurements of the box. Please look at our images to tell both the overall condition of the game, and to see if it appears to be complete. We have assigned each game an overall condition grade, but because we are FAR from experts in these board games, we don't have a basis for how to grade them, and we are just taking a good guess as to how to grade them. Also, please do not ask any questions about them, because we won't know the answers, beyond what can be seen in our images. We also have already packed the games so that they will be quickly ready to ship, so they can't be opened, and therefore we can't look at any of them to give further information beyond what is seen in our images. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase many of these games at one time! If you bought them one at a time, you would have to pay postage on each package, but if you purchase a group of these from this set of auctions, we will combine as many as possible into a single box, which will save you much on shipping. All of these 58 board games will have new owners when these auctions end, because all are being sold with no reserve, and all start at just $1! Note that this item needs to be shipped in a box, which might be a fairly small box, or might be a very large box. What is important for the bidders to know is that this item likely CAN'T be combined with other purchases, because there would not be much savings if any, because this item will be in a box, while other purchases will be in a flat package, and trying to combine them would likely damage this item anyway. If you purchase multiple items like this (ones that need to be packed in a box), then they likely can be combined with each other (unless the resulting box is simply too large). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent separately in a box (the size of the box will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. Condition: very good to fine. The game was never used and is in nice condition, but it is not sealed. Learn More about condition grades
