What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was never folded. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Many years ago, someone mounted it onto very thin linen with no excess and no restoration. Since that time, it had paper loss in the top right blank corner and some creases in the boy's shoes, and a few scattered in his clothes and his parents' clothes. The poster can still be displayed as it is, but certainly, a talented restorer could remove it from the old linen and properly back it.
