An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Magic Show Poster (WC; measures 13" x 18" [33 x 46 cm]) (Learn More)

Maro, Prince of Magic, the circa 1900s (1900-1910) stone litho window card promoting magician Edward Maro ("Prince of Magic"; "Incubation a la Magique"), and featuring wonderful art of Maro performing his magic with a fascinated spectator along with animals, magic items, and a black border with red bats, candles and elves. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we know little about this window card, except that it is surely an original and not any sort of later reproduction. We don't know if it originally had a blank top, but it does appear to have been trimmed on the top edge, so we would say that is likely. Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

UPDATED 09/13/2012: Note that the consignor of this poster confirms our belief that this is an original item and NOT a later reproduction.

Condition: very good to fine. It appears the card had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off. Other than minor wear around the edges, the card is in really nice condition!
