An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Moroccan Movie Poster (28x42; measures 27 1/2" x 42 1/4") (Learn More) Nabonga (Gorilla), the 1944 Sam Newfield African jungle ape adventure thriller starring Buster Crabbe, Barton MacLaine, Fifi D'Orsay, Julie London (billed as "introducing Julie London"), Bryant Washburn, and Ray Corrigan (in the title role as Nabonga, the gorilla!). Note that this movie was released in England as "The Jungle Woman". Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. There are creases, tears, and thin paper loss on parts of some foldlines. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration, but once it is linenbacked, it will look great, and it will not require paint restoration except in the areas described above.
