An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Babes in Arms, the 1939 Busby Berkeley romantic juvenile let's-put-on-a-show musical ("The Big Musical Fun Show!"; "Based on the play by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart"; Mickey is the son of vaudevillians who want to put on a traveling show that will bring back vaudeville, but Mickey and Judy organize their own show, with "modern" songs, and with no money for staging, they put on an incredible show!) starring Mickey Rooney (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Judy Garland, Charles Winninger, Guy Kibbee, June Preisser, Grace Hayes, Betty Jaynes, Douglas McPhail, Rand Brooks, Leni Lynn, and Johnny Sheffield (billed as "John Sheffield"). This is one of the absolute best "let's put on a show" musicals of the 1930s or 1940s, which is not surprising, since it combines the talents of Rodgers & Hart, Busby Berkeley, and Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland!

Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. The card was used in Australia and there is a triangular rating snipe glued to the bottom right of the image. There are a few pinholes and tiny creases around the edges. There is a large area of surface paper loss on the back of the bottom left corner, where tape was roughly removed, but it has no effect on the front. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition.
