An Original Vintage Unfolded Magic Show Poster (measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

The Great Morton Wonder Show was a traveling magic show, spook show and circus from the 1940s to the 1950s. It was founded by Nebraska magician William Morton who had his first professional magic performance in 1935. He worked throughout the West as a solo act until 1944, when he married Pauline Smith, who became his assistant and business manager. In 1948, they started a summer tour, combining circus and magic themes in their own portable tent theater. The show featured audience participation and illusions such as Sawing a Woman in Half, Spirit Cabinet, Floating Lady, Demon of Doom, The Caliph's Garden, Guillotine, Doll House, Sword Cabinet, Wonder Screen, and the Canvas Covered Box
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning!

Condition: good. The poster has a large patch of slight discoloration at lower right due to exposure to moisture (see our image). This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
